Powerful Insights from Zephaniah

The word of God declares that God will exult over you with joy. Can you imagine that? God is joyful when He thinks about you and me. We make God smile and He is happy.

Then the passage says that He will be quiet in His love. This is powerful since the whole book is about the judgement for Judah's harlotry. God steps back and is joyful for His elect remnant and He holds them quietly in His love. Wow! When we dont deserve it, He loves us with perfect love and He is "still; He is "quiet".

The next phrase breaks through the peaceful quiet with a shout. God shouts with joy for us. He has a party. Think about that...we make Him divnely happy, hold us quietly in His love, and shout with joy. He delights in us.

My God Rejoices Over Us

I started this blog because I am on a pursuit to know and love God. I want to jot down my thoughts on this journey. I have looked for love in all the wrong places and have chased every method to obtain satisfaction. i echo the words of the rock star "I can't get no satisfaction", a prophet of doom, but true, apart from satisfaction and joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, there is none to be found.

Zephaniah 3 states that our God rejoices over us. He delights in His children. We make him smile. Wow!

He is Quiet in His Love

Have you just held a child close and words could not express the deep love you have for them? This is such a beautiful expression in the Scriptures. God is quiet in His love for me and you. WowI

The Father/ABBA relationship with us is amazing. When I ponder this relationship, I marvel. The God over all creation is my "daddy". Why not crawl into His lap and wrap my arms around Him and tell Him all of my worries and fears? Why not enjoy intimacy with my Father all the time?
